Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey keyboardist Brian Haas will team with bassist Jason Fraticelli and saxophonist Mark Southerland for a series of northeast gigs beginning Thursday, October 20 at Philadelphia’s World Cafe. From there, the paired performers will travel to New York’s The Blue Note (October 21), Boston’s Zeitgeist Gallery October 22-23) and Kingston, NY’s The Backstage. From New York on, The Brian Haas Trio will be rounded out by the duo of Marco Benevento and Joe Russo, making for a night of mathematically incorrect, but non-the-less adventurous, music. Haas, who is currently supporting his new solo piano album The Truth About Hollywood, will also open each night with a solo piano set which Jambands.com readers may dub the Brian Haas Uno (or, heck, even duo) if they’d like.
