The second studio effort from Mike Gordon and Leo Kottke is now slated for an August 23 release. Sixty-Six Steps, the follow-up to 2002s Clone, was recorded in the Bahamas following rehearsals in Costa Rica. The mix of originals and covers is said to have a calypso feel although it not a true calypso album. The pair has not yet announced any post-release shows although they will perform a series of gigs in Colorado and the west coast from June 19 through July 3.
