Mary Gatchell is a piano player and vocalist who is starting to gain some renown beyond New York jazz circles. Her touring band often includes bassist Leo Traversa who also gigs with the Steve Kimock. With this nexus in place, Kimock will guest on guitar for Gatchells upcoming NYC date on Monday April 4 at the Cutting Venue. Traversa also will serve as a musical bridge in another context, as he will perform on bass that evening.
