String Cheese Incident, which is currently hosting its Mid-Winter Music Festival, has confirmed some significant summer tour dates. On June 18-20 the group will return for a three show run at Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, OR. Michael Franti & Spearhead, Sound Tribe Sector Nine and Keller Williams also are on the bill for a weekend that in past years has incorporated additional interactive, ritual elements. In addition, on July 9 and 10, String Cheese will be part of a three band bill at Red Rocks that will also include the Allman Brothers Band and Chris Robinson & New Earth Mud. Meanwhile, David Lindley & Wally Ingram open for SCI this evening at the Fillmore in Denver, following last night’s show during which JJ Grey and members of MOFRO appeared for a version of ‘Hard to Handle’ that closed the first set.
