String Cheese Incident’s Winter Carnival opens next Thursday with three shows at the Fillmore in Denver (with openers MOFRO (11th), David Lindley & Wally Ingram (12), and Vassar Clements (13, as part of a three set night). Late night shows will take place after all three of these dates that hold particular interest to SCI enthusiasts. Drummer Michael Travis’s Zilla project will be at Dulcinea’s 100th Monkey on March 12 and 13. In addition, Liza Oxnard (who has toured and recorded with Bill Nershi) will perform with her group the Soulstars on the 11th. Tickets for all three of these shows (as well as New Monsoon’s Friday and Saturday gigs at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom) are now on-sale via sciticketing.
