Steve Winwood, this year’s recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award Jammy, is the latest artist added to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Winwood will perform at the Fairgrounds on Sunday April 25, while Wyclef Jean has been added to the event a week later, on May 2. Meanwhile, Lenny Kravitz, who had been slated to perform on April 30 and May 1, will now appear on April 24 at the Fest and the night before at the Municipal Auditorium on a bill with the Johnny Clegg Band. The Festival promises one additional ‘major artist’ yet to be announced, while Ray Charles, originally set to perform on the 25th, has cancelled due to health issues.
