On Friday night at Higher Ground in Winooski, VT, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band invited Ropeadope labelmate Mike Gordon to the stage. Gordon appeared with the group during the second set for versions of The Chicken and Its All Over Now.’ The DDBB which appears on the forthcoming Widespread Panic live disc Night of Joy, will release its own Funeral For A Friend on May 4. The group, which is currently touring in the northeast, will celebrate Funeral For A Friend with three performances in New Orleans during the Jazz & Heritage Festival (including a fairgrounds set on April 25).
