Deep Fried, a quartet slated to tour in mid-March, will bring together two pairs of musicians with longstanding relationships. Matt Abts and Johnny Neel, who have played together in many contexts over the years, most recently in X2, will be joined by funky Meters bandmates George Porter Jr. and Brian Stoltz (who are currently on the road with their own Porter & Stoltz Project). Deep Fried will debut on March 13 at the Brandy House in Atlanta and then travel north with the final date currently scheduled for March 26 at BB Kings Place in NYC.
