Saturday night at Dulcinea’s 100th Monkey in Denver, the Motet will host the first of four Motet Playground gigs that will take place in February. These shows are billed as ‘free-form improvisational jam sessions in an intimate jazz club atmosphere.’ In addition, the band will invite other artists into the mix for performances that will build on the players varied affinities. The Saturday Playground gig will be followed by shows on three successive Fridays (Feb 13, 20 and 27) after which the group will return to the road for a tour proper, beginning on March 4 at the Dire Wolf in Whitefish, MT
