Members of The Big Wu sat in with The Recipe last night at the Orange Peel in Asheville, NC. The entire band performed during an extended version of Playground Bellyflop’ towards the end of the show. Drummer Terry VanDeWalker and keyboardist Al Oikari then remained for Rise. During the encore, banjoist Billy Constable and mandolinist Mark Shimach of Sassagrass emerged for Little Maggie.
The Recipe and The Big Wu are in the midst of a co-bill tour, which continues tomorrow at the Brandyhouse in Atlanta. The Wu plays tonight with the Hackensaw Boys at the 40 Watt in Athens, GA. For details, visit www.thebigwu.com or www.therecipe.com.
