The Gordon Stone Band has added more dates to its fall schedule. The tour kicks off next Wednesday, October 22, at Harpers Ferry in Boston and includes multiple stops throughout the Northeast, in Connecticut, New Jersey, Vermont and New York. Stone, who is currently on the road with Mike Gordon and recently toured as a member of Al & the Transamericans, will be joined by Brian OConnell (Uncle Sammy) and drummer Doug Ranieri (Cyrill Neville). ‘This new GSB lineup has been playing throughout the summer and has developed a sound that incorporates more group improvisation and different grooves than some of the past GSB lineups, says OConnell. ‘We’re looking forward to getting out there and doing some great shows in the coming weeks.’
Flautist Julee Avallone, who is also on the road with Mike Gordon, is expected to join Stone at the Boston show.
