The Flaming Lips have announced the release of a new EP titled Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell, due November 17 on Warner Brothers. Aside from two versions of the title track, the EP will feature four new songs, including A Chance at Christmas. There is also a remix of the bands semi-hit Do You Realize.
In early October, the Lips will play two shows with String Cheese Incident in Virginia as well as a date with moe. in South Carolina. Then its off to the West Coast for a string of gigs with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The band will also travel to the United Kingdom at the end of October, highlighted by a Halloween performance in Birmingham.
The Flaming Lips are currently featured in the Chemical Brothers single, ‘The Golden Path.’
