Bassist Mike Gordon (Phish) and guitarist Jeff Pevar (CPR, Phil & Friends) joined Max Creek Friday at the Living Room in Providence. Pevar sat in for nearly the entire second set, taking the stage for Thoughts and remaining through the last encore, If You Ask Me. Gordon came out for the last song of the set, Something Is Forming and also joined in for both encores, which included Bob Dylans classic, I Shall Be Released. Pevar and Gordon have performed with Creek several times in the past. They have both also collaborated with guitarist Scott Murawski for his side project, Scottness.
This fall, Murawski will tour with Gordon, as he tours in support of his solo album, Inside In. Look for an annoucement this week.
Max Creek plays Saturday at the Saranac Brewery Fall Festival in Utica, NY. For details, visit www.maxcreek.com.
