Primus has announced several more dates on its Tour De Fromage, which will feature original drummer Tim Alexander, along with bassist Les Claypool and guitarist Larry LaLonde. Plans of a return to the road came a couple weeks ago, when three initial dates were released: October 17 at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, October 21 at the Fillmore in Denver, and Halloween at the Warfield in San Francisco (there will be a costume contest for best Primus character). The tour kicks off October 15 at The Joint in Las Vegas and includes mostly theater-sized venues in Arizona, Utah, Illinois, Wisonsin, Michigan, Ohio, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Quebec and Ontario. The two-set shows will feature a complete performance of Sailing The Seas of Cheese, the bands breakthrough album from 1991 that includes hits such as Jerry Was a Racecar Driver and Tommy the Cat.
Primus will also release Animals Should Not Try to Act Like People on October 7. The two-disc package includes a DVD featuring music videos, documentary footage and live performances, as well as 5-song EP consisting of new material.
