Particle welcomed various special guests to the stage last night at the Knitting Factory in New York City. Galactic drummer Stanton Moore sat in on percussion for an extended jam to begin the show. During the second set, saxophonist Sam Kininger (Soulive, Lettuce), drummer Joe Russo (Fat Mama) and bassist Marco Benevento (Jazz Farmers) emerged for a free form jam that lasted nearly an hour.
The Russo/Benevento Duo performed earlier in the night downstairs in the Tap Bar. The pair has been playing a weekly gig there all summer. Kininger sat in for a portion of that set as well.
