The Allman Brothers Band is currently in a New York studio recording material for an upcoming album. Thus far, the group has recorded ‘Who to Believe’ and ‘Rocking Horse. The CD will feature a few songs co-written by Gregg Allman and Warren Haynes, who is also co-producing the album with Michael Barbiero (Govt Mule, Blues Traveler). Gregg and I also wrote another song that we havent played yet, but its pretty much finished, says Haynes. Therere a few things that are ready to go now, so were excited to be back in the studio and check it out. Its the first time since 94. Were gonna write some new material after [the first session] and of course, individually, we all have a few things that were going to put together.
The band plans to record for another week or so and then return to the studio and finish the album in mid-May.
