Last year a DVD came out that spanned three decades with Dickey Betts & Great Southern. Rockpalast: 30 Years of Southern Rock presented two German appearances by Betts and his group, the first from March 4, 1978 and the second from July 19th 2008. Now these performances will be made available on CD. A two-CD set, also entitled Rockpalast: 30 Years of Southern Rock will be released this coming Tuesday, June 29th. The 1978 Great Southern lineup also includes Dan Toler (guitar), Michael Workman (keyboards), David Godflies (bass), David Toler (drums/percussion) and Dani Sharbono (drums/percussion). The 2008 version of his group also features Betts’ son Duane on guitar along with Frankie Lombardi (drums), Michael Kach (organ, vocals), Pedro Arevalo (bass), James Vanardo (drums) and Andy Aledort (guitar).
