The Disco Biscuits’ Marc Brownstein has elected to postpone his recently announced shows at Denver’s Knew Conscious gallery. The bassist was set to perform a solo DJ set on March 19 and share a bill with Tennis Jacket and Big Gigantic’s Jeremy Salken on March 20.

“I have made the very difficult decision to postpone my upcoming DJ Brownie and Tennis Jacket shows at the Knew Conscious Gallery,” Brownstein wrote on Facebook. “I have determined that I am not ready to perform indoors for several nights. While I trust that the gallery takes the risk of COVID very seriously and is compliant with their 5 star COVID safety rating, I have factored in the risk associated with the extra travel.

“In careful consideration of the socially distanced and outdoor Disco Biscuits shows that are coming up, and in talks with the band and management, we have decided it would be best to move these DJ shows to a time when the band and crew has had to chance to be fully vaccinated,” he continued.

Brownstein also extolled the virtues of Knew Conscious and promised to “make it up to “fans and the gallery. “

Knew Conscious has been incredibly supportive of me throughout the years and I feel terrible asking them to move these shows during their relaunch,” he wrote. “I promise I will make it up to you, the fans, who have supported me over the years, and also to the gallery which helped me launch my career as a DJ, as soon we get to the end of this tunnel. Keep an eye out for the new dates and I can’t wait to get back out to Colorado and see you in the flesh.”
