As Mike Gordon somewhat elliptically ‘leaked’ on his hotline yesterday afternoon, Trey Anastasio joined Ramble Dove for the majority of its performance at New York’s Irving Plaza last night. Anastasio emerged near the end of the country collective’s first set, playing guitar on ‘I Got Loaded,’ ‘Weekly Time’ and ‘Lost Highway.’ Longtime Phish fans may remember ‘Weekly Time’ as a lost Gordon song leaked in the 1990s, which he discussed in his recent Jambands.com interview. Anastasio returned at the start of set two, performing on ‘Cocaine Blues,’ ‘In Each Love, Something Must Fall,’ ‘I’m a Little Bit Lonesome,’ ‘Semi-Truck,’ ‘Just Someone I Used to Know,’ ‘Gone Gone Gone’ and, of course, ‘Possum.’ Gordon and Ramble Dove will appear at South Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground tomorrow, with Jon Fishman sitting in on drums for a portion of its set.
