Eric Clapton will return to the United States for a tour covering the Southwest, Midwest, and West Coast. The guitarists North American outing will kick off February 28 at Dallas AmericanAirlines Center and continue through April. As of press time, Claptons last confirmed tour date is April 6 at Columbus, OHs Schottenstein Center. It is not known whether Derek Trucks will join Clapton for his upcoming tour or whether Slowhands outing will preclude the guitarist from being part of the Allman Brothers Bands annual run of shows at the Beacon Theater (which traditionally take place in March). Though the historic theater has been sold and will be closed for renovations in the future, work on the Beacon is not scheduled to begin until 2008.
