Dave Matthews will continue to dip his toes into the film world this summer. The guitarist has penned a song for the movie Joshua, which was produced by Matthews ATO Pictures. Joshua was nominated for Sundances grand jury prize and won the festivals cinematography award. While Matthews does not sing the song in the upcoming film, he very well may add it to his repertoire when his band returns to the road for a show at Mansfield, MAs Tweeter Center on August 1. Previously Matthews has appeared in such films as 2005s Because of Winn-Dixie and 2003s Where the Red Fern Grows.
