Earlier in the week the White Stripes announced that they would not appear at the Austin City Limits Festival. Now that have taken things one step further and cancelled the remainder of their U.S. and European dates. The band has explained that ‘Meg White is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time. The White Stripes sincerely apologize to their fans. We hate to let people down and are very sorry.’ The band had been scheduled to be out on the road through November 2, traveling up the west coast, stopping off in Hawaii and then flying to the U.K., closing things out at the O2 Arena. Ticketholders can receive refunds at their point of purchase.
