Last Year the Yonder Mountain String Band hosted its 6th Annual Northwest String Summit on the last weekend in August. This year the event will take place a month earlier, over the weekend of July 18 at Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, OR. The group will keep with tradition, by inviting Darol Anger to join in on fiddle through the weekend. Vince Herman’s Great American Taxi also will participate, while Anger’s website reports that his Strings For Industry quartet will appear as well.
The Yonder Mountain String Band will open its Cabin Fever Tour on January 31 in Tulsa, OK at Cain’s Ballroom.
