Last night, Leroy Justice delivered a midnight set at the Bitter End in New York City. Guesting with the band was Scott Metzger, who first joined in for an extended jam on the group’s ‘Temporary Cure.’ The band then moved into the Allman Brothers Band’s ‘Whipping Post’ where Metzger traded licks with Leroy Justice guitarist Brendan Cavanaugh. Metzger then closed out his guest slot during the LJ original ‘Last 4 Ozs.’ Next Thursday, August 20, the group will return to the Bitter End and has announced that additional guest players will participate. Looking ahead, free CDs samplers will be available at the Hittin’ The Note booth during the upcoming Allman Brothers Band/Widespread Panic tour.
