Last night at the Fillmore in San Francisco, My Morning Jacket performed the third night of their seven show run at the venue. In addition to plenty of MMJ originals by the band’s five members, all three shows have also included guest musicians and some select covers.

During Saturday’s opener, Molly Tuttle appeared for a version of the Jerry Garcia-Robert Hunter tune “Sugaree,” as well as Sly & The Family Stone’s “Everyday People,” and Dolly Parton’s “Eagle When She Flies.” On Sunday, Tyler Ballgame appeared for another Grateful Dead selection, “Brown-Eyed Women,” as well as George Harrison’s “Behind that Locked Door.”

On Tuesday evening, MMJ brought out two guest musicians. Near the end of the set, bassist Karina Rykman emerged for another Dead classic, “Franklin’s Tower,” which was the band’s first take on the tune. She remained for Radiohead’s “The National Anthem” from that group’s 2000 album, Kid A.

Then when the band came out for their encore, harpist Mikaela Davis joined the group. She appeared on group’s Tennessee Fire staple “I Will Be There When You Die,” followed by the group’s debut of Kate Bush’s This Woman’s Work” and then “Dear God (Sincerely M.O.F.)” which was originally written and recorded by Jim James’  Monsters of Folk project with Conor Oberst, M. Ward, and Mike Mogis.

My Morning Jacket will return to the Fillmore this evening.
