Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration Expands Live Schedule

The Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration has expanded its live capacity going into the summer months. After previously announcing a singular experience on September 4, 2026, at the Wolf Trap in Vienna, Va., featuring support from the National Symphony Orchestra, more dates have been added, creating a tour slated for the end of August and early September, following a late June performance.

Represented artists on the forthcoming lineup of musical contributors are Garcia’s former collaborators and JBG members, keyboardist Melvin Seals and profound vocalist Jacklyn Labranch. Also included on the list of participating players is the son of the Dead’s founding bassist, Grahame Lesh, in addition to Joe Russo’s Almost Dead member and guitarist, Tom Hamilton.

The new slate of dates will pick up on June 30, when the aforementioned players arrive at Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, Mass. The group will pause their symphonic schedule for nearly two months before resuming their commitment on August 28 when they play at Philadelphia’s TD Pavilion at Highmark Mann, which effectively kicks off a string of concerts, resulting in a follow up on August 29 at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, N.J.

Next, the group will take their affinity for Jerry Garcia’s songbook to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, N.Y., on August 30, prior to an evening spent on the CMAC stage in Canandaigua, N.Y., on Sept. 1. The final newly added date to the schedule will result in a Sept. 3 concert at Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront in Richmond, Va., which comes the night before their already announced Sept. 4 gig at the Wolf Trap.
