Billy Martin has confirmed another residency at New York’s avant-garde space The Stone. The Medeski Martin & Wood drummer will hold court at the intimate space from April 15-18, performing with a different ensemble each night. On April 15, Martin will present Intangible Actions alongside
Ikue Mori (electronics) and, on April 16, he will perform with Calapitter, which also features Anna Abondolo (bass) Nathan Nakadegawa-Lee (reeds, winds) and Henry Plotnick (keyboards, piano). Then, on April 17, Martin will lead a bamboo ensemble, the Bamboo Orchestra, before closing things out on April 18 with Intangible Actions, a partnership with Melissa Almaguer (percussion, tap).
