While nearing the end of a long year on the road, Gov’t Mule have unveiled their plans to carry that momentum into 2026 with a new batch of North American tour dates.

The Warren Haynes-fronted Southern jam outfit’s live calendar now boasts a five-show spring run, beginning on March 27 with a special “Mile High Mule” show at Denver’s Mission Ballroom and culminating in an April 11 set at Joe Bonamassa’s Sound Wave Beach Weekend in Miramar Beach, Fla. Then, from July 29 to August 16, Gov’t Mule and Bonamassa will extend their long history of collaboration with an eight-stop co-headline run; between a kickoff from Vienna, Va.’s Wolf Trap and a finale at Lincoln, Neb.’s Pinewood Bowl, the blues innovators will make stops in Bangor, maine; Gilford, N.H.; Baltimore; Youngstown, Ohio; Interlochen, Mich. and Welch, Minn. Tickets for all newly announced dates will be available for pre-sale from Dec. 9-11, wil a general on-sale launching this Friday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. local.

“Joe Bonamassa and I go back a long way,” Haynes shared. “We’ve played together many times, but this is the first time we’ve ever actually toured together. Really looking forward to it!”

On top of their first performances of the new year, Gov’t Mule amplified anticipation for their year-end festivities today by sharing some key details on their New Year’s run. Keeping with the tradition that they launched in 2002, Gov’t Mule will ring in 2026 with three shows in the Empire State, beginning with a stand at Schenectady, N.Y.’s Proctors Theatre on Dec. 28 before back-to-back engagements at New York City’s storied Beacon Theatre on Dec. 30 and 31. Mule’s return to the longtime home of their New Year’s Eve celebration will mark the band’s 50th appearance at the Beacon, and they’ll mark the occasion with a tribute to the music of 1971 – “arguably the greatest year in rock music history,” per Haynes.

There’s no shortage of legendary albums from the band’s year of choice, but fans were offered some indication of the material they’ll encounter with the announcement that Haynes will perform on three historic instruments offered by Family Guitars. Mule’s iconic frontman will bring the unforgettable music of his adolescence to life again on Jerry Garcia’s Travis Bean TB500 #11 (played on Terrapin Station), Dickey Betts’ Gibson Les Paul Gold Top Dark Back (played at the iconic Fillmore East shows and on the first three Allman Brothers Band albums), and Mike Bloomfield’s 1963 Fender Telecaster (played at Bob Dylan’s 1965 Newport Folk Festival set and on Highway 61 Revisited).

Gov’t Mule’s Dec. 31 performance at the Beacon Theater will be bolstered by support from some top-tier talent, with YOLA, Jackie Greene and The Chronic Horns signing on as special guests. Before wrapping up the year in New York, the band will join in Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam on Dec. 13. Find tickets and more information on all the band’s upcoming dates at mule.net.
