Rock & Roll Hall of Fame recipient, Sammy Hagar, has announced the October 10, 2025, release of Sammy Hagar & The Best of All Worlds Band – The Residency, via Big Machine Rock. The collection presents a hit-filled list of live staples that were recorded during his Sin City residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM. As the initial preview of the set, “Summer Nights” is out now.
The Best of All Worlds Band combines the prowess of Michael Anthony (bass, vocals), Joe Satriani (guitar), Kenny Aronoff (drums), Rai Thistlethwayte (keyboards, vocals, guitar), and Hagar, who amalgamate their might over 19 live tracks, which feature the very best from the bandleader’s iconic songbook, from his personal song list to Van Halen selects which illuminate his 20 year tenure with the heavy metal band.
“‘Summer Nights’ was one of the first songs we wrote for the 5150 record, on our very first day in the studio. Eddie played me that guitar riff and I just started singing ‘summer nights and my radio,’ and the rest of the lyrics just came out like a river of consciousness. I don’t think there’s a better theme song for a beautiful summer night, so it had to be the first track this summer from the live album,” Hagar says via press release.
