Multi-instrumentalist virtuoso player Jason Crosby has announced the debut of the Crosby Collective on January 18, 2025, at San Francisco’s The Fillmore. The forthcoming concert is slated to feature special guests, including the artist’s longtime collaborator, Oteil Burbridge, and Jackson Browne.

Initially, Crosby took to social media on Monday, November 19, hinting at today’s confirmed concert. In a clip shared with friends and followers, he began, “Hello, good people of the internet. I’m here because I want to share some exciting news with all of you out there. Tomorrow, you will see an announcement for a show for a new project called the Crosby Collective.”

“I’ve spent a lot of time this year working on some new music and we will be playing our first show in January with two very special guests.” Adding context, Crosby continued, “The show in January is going to feature a lot of mashups. I know a lot of people have commented about the Nirvana-Grateful Dead thing that I’ve been doing for a long time, and I decided this year to expand upon that. I wrote another 20 of them, and 10 of them have been recorded. We will be doing those along with some other stuff.”

“I think there will be some familiar faces and some new ones as well, and I can’t wait to share this stuff with you.” True to his promise, Crosby followed up this afternoon, launching @crosby_collective on Instagram and sharing the aforementioned inclusion of Burbridge and Browne, along with ticket information for the January 2025 gig.

Pre-sale tickets for the Crosby Collective’s San Francisco debut will be available this Thursday at 10 am with the password: BEATS.
