Celebrated singer/songwriter Maggie Rose has announced the fourth season of her celebration of women in music podcast Salute the Songbird. The conversational program will be recorded in a new format at Chief’s on Broadway in Nashville in front of a live audience on Wednesday, October 16. Rose’s first guest for season four is 18-year-old guitar prodigy Grace Bowers.

Striking a new approach in line with the premiere date, Salute the Songbird will pick up a fresh configuration, leaning into aspects of live performance while saving space for conversation. Each episode will be live-streamed on Volume.com. Following the live recording, each episode will be transferred to audio and video formats, giving consumers of the program additional access to the show.

In her own words, Rose boasted, “I’m so excited to be back with season 4 of STS, especially with the new live-in-front-of-an-audience format because I believe the real magic happens in a live setting, and it will be riveting to see where these conversations with my fascinating guests go. Getting the chance to explore the careers and music of my guests in the past has been some of the most creatively inspiring work I’ve done and I’m returning to this format with some fresh enthusiasm and perspective after recently releasing my latest album. My first guest is a friend and collaborator, Grace Bowers.”

Rose continued to exclaim on behalf of her initial guest, “She is enjoying a meteoric rise with her band Grace Bowers and the Hodge Podge, touring with acts like Gary Clark Jr. and Lainey Wilson. Her latest—possibly prophetic—single, “Madame President,” is one I co-wrote with Bowers and bandmate Esther Okai-Tetteh (Esi). Grace might be remarkably young, but her vision and accomplishments are the marks of an old-soul artist with a ton of promise, and I couldn’t think of a better person with whom to pick up the series.”

Past episodes have featured conversations with powerful female voices from the music industry, including Martina McBride, Nancy Wilson, Kathy Valentine, Ruby Amanfu, Mickey Guyton, Amy Ray, Susan Tedeschi, Lucius, Jewel and many others.  Rose opened up to Relix about her latest LP, No One Gets Out Alive.
