The String Cheese Incident has announced the theme for this year’s weekend at Red Rocks, July 12 through 14, a full-year celebration of their 30-year history. During the impending Morrison, Colo. shows, the ensemble will celebrate three different geographical locations that have influenced the band’s musical journey over the last three decades, presented as The New Orleans Incident, The Colorado Incident, and The Nashville Incident.

According to the band, they will start their celebration on Friday, July 12, with an ode to The Big Easy, featuring help from guests George Porter Jr., Ivan Neville & Phunky Friends feat. Tony Hall, Ian Neville, Deven Trusclair, Dumpsta Horns, and Tarriona “Tank” Ball (of Tank & The Bangas). Sticking to their roots, the next night, July 13, is simply billed as The Colorado Incident—an evening with The String Cheese Incident.

The group’s third and final stand at the open-air venue, which features Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, and Sierra Hull, will be on July 14 and has been dubbed The Nashville Incident. Fans are encouraged to come dressed in theme, from New Orleans garb to Colorado flags and honky-tonk flare.

Also included in today’s announcement, SCI has partnered with Nova Sky Stories to bring the first-ever drone show to Red Rocks Amphitheatre–a visual bonus to mark the band’s 30th milestone.
