Following debut dates in support of Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew’s Remain in Light project and the November delivery of their initial single, “Never Noticed,” Cool Cool Cool have proceeded by announcing a slate of solo tour dates named after their initial musical release and serving as their first-ever headlining tour.
The impending run will pick up with a trio of festival-adjacent appearances, including a Feb. 23 stand at the Whippersnap Music & Arts Festival in Brooksville, Fla., followed by the Jam Cruise pre-party the next night, Feb. 24 at Miami Beach Bandshell, and the main event/ concert at sea, from Feb. 25 through March 1.
Back on land, Cool Cool Cool will commence their solo dates on March 5 at the Pour House in Charleston, S.C., before heading north to the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh. From there, the ensemble, known for their blend of funk, house, and R&B, will bring the party to Baltimore’s The 8×10 on March 7 and Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, Pa., the next night.
Added East Coast gigs will roll out in Hamden, Conn., Portsmouth, N.H., and Brattleboro, Vt., just before three New York state concerts. Afterward, the band partake in Colorado performances at Old Town Pub in Steamboat Springs, Colo., on April 5 and Denver’s Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom on April 6.
The band offered a collective statement via press release: “We’re hitting the road! After an incredible year in 2023, we are recharged, invigorated, and ready to show you what we’ve been cooking up. Brand new songs, crisp looks, and huge sounds- come on out to celebrate and dance with us!”
Bandmember Sammi Garrett also chimed in, adding, “We are thrilled about our very first headlining tour and so excited to share our original music with all of our friends, fans and family in all of these cities and venues we love. It feels awesome and I’m so proud of us and what we’ve created together.”
And finally, Greg Sanderson shared his thoughts on his band’s journey, ““This tour is special for us. Over the years, we’ve all put our hearts, countless hours, and full dedication into our crafts. Coming together as a band to be creative and adventurous has been an amazing experience.
“All of the cities on this run are locations we love, places we have made friends and fans, and honestly, it feels like a coming home tour in many ways. From Turkuaz shows, solo projects, sit-ins, and now Cool Cool Cool, these are venues I know we all can’t wait to reconnect with, and build new families from,” he concluded.
