Ty Segall has turned out his latest single, “Eggman.” The new tune functions as a preview off the artist’s impending full-length release, dubbed Void, due out later this year. The song has been delivered alongside a visual equalizer, shot with the help of the musician’s wife, Denee, who received a co-writer credit on the number. In addition to music, Segall shared a series of new tour dates.

In the video, Segall is seated at a table while donning an outfit reminiscent of a rodeo clown, complete with painted-on rosy cheek. While the initial sight isn’t all that thought-provoking, once the rhythm hits and the artist starts consuming hard-boiled eggs, a la the song title, uncomfortableness dominates–with Segall repeatedly eating the ovum and sipping water. A human element emerges as the video progresses, with Segall noticeably amused by the continued task.

Besides new music, Segall also said he intends to return to Los Angeles in late winter. The “My Ladys On Fire” singer delivered a new tour date to take him and his band to The Wiltern on Saturday, February 23, 2024. He also shared that during the City of Angels stand, White Fence will open up the night. Tickets for the newly tacked-on show go on sale this Friday, Sept. 29.
