Alt-rockers Guster have announced a trio of new concert appearances, which will land in mid-September. Two of the three dates will see the Boston-bred ensemble perform alongside symphonic orchestras, adding additional instrumental layers to their already rich lineup of original music.

After previously announced Midwest performances at Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Sept. 15 and a follow-up the next night at Chicago’s The Salt Shed, Guster will tack their first newly added date on Sept. 17, when the band will turn up at the Stephanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts in Sheboygan, Wis.

From there, they will pick up their two remaining dates. The first will see the band come together with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall in Steel City on Sept. 19. Their final newly added appearance will occur on Sept. 20 at Peristyle Theatre at the Toledo Museum of Art in Toledo, Ohio, their Guster will perform alongside the Toledo Symphony Orchestra.

The newly announced gigs are not the first time that Guster has teamed up with an orchestra for a night of music. Previously, the band has shared the stage with the Omaha Symphony Orchestra and other regional groups.
