The highly anticipated Homecoming Festival, presented by The National, is set to make its return to Cincinnati on Sept. 15-16, marking the first time the event will take place since its inaugural edition in 2018. The hometown hero’s event will take place at the ICON Festival Stage at Smale Parka and promises an unforgettable two-day event filled with incredible performances and cherished acts.

Among the lineup of beloved acts, attendees can expect electrifying performances from the likes of Patti Smith & Her Band, Pavement, Weyes Blood, Pavement, the Walkmen, Arooj Aftab, Snail Mail, Bartees Strange, Julia Jacklin, Carriers and more. The National will headline both Friday and Saturday nights, offering unique sets each evening as a special gesture of gratitude to their dedicated fans.

Reflecting on the success of the inaugural festival, The National expressed their excitement for the return of the Homecoming Festival in a statement. They wrote, “When we launched Homecoming in 2018, we were overwhelmed by the response from the community and by our renewed sense of connection to our hometown. It was such an exciting, memorable weekend, and we’ve long hoped to bring it back. We’re honored to return to Cincinnati five years later and be joined by so many of our favorite musicians and friends.”

Tickets for Homecoming 2023 will go on sale on Friday, May 19, at 10 am ET. A special Homecoming fanzine produced by Graham MacIndoe, a long-time collaborator of The National. Members of The National‘s Cherry Tree fan club will enjoy a presale starting on May 18 at 9 a.m. ET, granting them early entry to the venue and an exclusive fanzine.
