Animal Collective recently delivered a remastered edition of their 2000 debut album, Spirit They’re Gone, Spirit They’ve Vanished. The revived collection arrived alongside a bonus EP dubbed A Night At Mr. Raindrop’s Holistic Supermarket, featuring five previously unshared tracks, including an unearthed cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dream.”

The reimagined Rumours favorite was recorded during Animal Collective’s Spirit They’re Gone, Spirit They’ve Vanished era. The tune has been stripped of its original pop-leaning format in favor of an imaginative and psychedelic approach garnished with synth, booming kick drum and a lyrical delivery by Dave Portner (Avey Tare).

Prior to today’s arrival, Animal Collective dropped their latest studio album, Time Skiffs, on Feb. 4, 2022. The group intended to support the batch of music by embarking on a European tour which was ultimately called off due to a so-called “mountain of touring obstacles.”
