Phil Lesh has added Warren Haynes to the lineup of collaborators joining him on stage during his upcoming Salt Shed run in Chicago on March 11 and 12. The Grateful Dead’s founding bassist made the announcement today via his official Instagram account. View now

Prior to Haynes’ addition to the springtime bill, Lesh had shared the initial list of musicians who had signed on for the Windy City stand. James Casey, Natalie Cressman, Jennifer Hartswick, Grahame Lesh, Jason Crosby and John Molo are among the previously announced guests.

Notably, Lesh and Haynes performed as a part of the 2004 adaptation of The Dead. During the Wave That Flag Tour, Haynes added guitar and vocals alongside the remaining members of the legendary San Francisco ensemble. After stepping back from the project to tour with The Allman Brothers Band, Haynes again rejoined The Dead in late 2008 for a benefit concert in support of then-presidential hopeful Barack Obama at Penn State.

Tickets for Phil Lesh & Friends stand at The Salt Shed on March 11 are sold out. For those interested in snatching seats for their follow-up show on March 12, tickets can be purchased here
