Legendary jazz-fusion ensemble The Headhunters have announced that they will perform a one-night stand on Thursday, Feb. 9, at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl. The show will double as the 50th anniversary for the group, who released their seminal LP Head Hunters in 1973 with jazz icon Herbie Hancock.

The Headhunters, currently co-led by original member Bill Sumner and noted drummer Mike Clark, along with Chris Severin on bass, Donald Harrison on saxophone, and Kyle Roussel on piano, will dip into the band’s vast history and deliver arrangements plucked from their vast catalog of music.

After a night in The Big Apple, The Headhunters will continue its anniversary celebration by taking the stage at Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club in Bridgeport, Conn., on Feb. 10. Then, the following night, they will perform at Philadelphia’s Brooklyn Bowl.
