Blue-rock-agent Samantha Fish has announced the second annual return of her Shake ‘Em On Down Tour, slated to feature the leading lady sharing a bill with fellow genre greats, North Mississippi Hill Country Blues spearhead Cedric Burnside and blues-punk icon Jon Spencer. Paired with the tour announcement is a new single, Fish’s cover of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ classic, “I Put a Spell on You.” Listen below.

The impending tour will pick up on December 10 in Portland, Ore.’s Revolution Hall before traveling up I-5 to Seattle’s The Crocodile. With a pair of Pacific Northwest dates in the books, the group will take their talents to California for a series of shows, beginning on Dec 13 at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley, Calif., and continuing to Monterey, Calif. (Dec. 14) and San Francisco (Dec. 16).

Further down the coastline, they will appear at the Coach House in  San Juan Capistrano, Calif., on Dec. 18, following up at Ventura, Calif., the next night before the final offering on the Shake em’ on Down Tour, The Sound in Del Mar, Calif., and Los Angeles’ the Fonda, on Dec. 21.

In addition to newly added concert appearances on the West Coast, Fish has shared “I Put A Spell on You.” On the cover, the musician applies her distinct knack for the guitar paired with enthralling vocals to draw on the raw intensity and emotional grit she is known for.

“I’ve always loved how intense and theatrical this song is,” Fish explains. “It gave me the perfect opportunity to dig into the darker, more haunting side of my sound.”
