Today, Trey Anastasio Band’s multi-instrumentalist James Casey makes his Christmas EP and recording debut, A Little Something For Everyone, available on streaming platforms.

Casey created the album in partnership with the Nancy Langhorne Foundation to support the fight against colon cancer; Casey is currently enduring his own bout with the disease. As well, 300 limited-edition pressings of 7-inch blue vinyl were released via the nonprofit holiday label 12-23 Records. All purchases of the silk-screened and numbered jackets will be a donation to provide free colon cancer screenings for the uninsured.

The EP features renditions of the Charlie Brown classic “Christmas Time Is Here,” an R&B-inspired “Joy To The World,” and a tribute to the gospel hymn “His Eye Is On The Sparrow.” The instrumental bonus track of “Joy To The World” is available on vinyl only.

Casey produced and arranged the album, recording it between chemo treatments. While he continues to juggle treatment and touring, Casey serves as an advocate for colon cancer awareness, especially in the young Black community. Tonight, he will perform some of the songs at Rockwood Music Hall as part of Hootenanny New York.
