Trey Anastasio Band and Goose soared into Santander Arena on Saturday evening for the final performance of their joint arena tour. The last stop occurred in Reading, Pa., approximately 60 miles outside of Philadelphia. The two-set concert featured on-stage collaborations throughout the night, with Phish’s frontman and his prestigious horn section stepping in during the second half of Goose’s initial frame. Then, during TAB’s portion of the show, the instrumental support continued as the Connecticut jamband lent assistance on a handful of numbers, including a slowed-down funk-infused “Llama” to kick off the night’s encore.

Goose started the evening with a high-energy take on “Flodown,” which arrived before “Pancakes,” a tune initially played by multi-instrumentalist Peter Anspach’s Great Blue project. The night’s first set continued with originals, “Turned Clouds,” followed by the title track from 2022’s Dripfield. Then, as the Connecticut jammers reached the halfway point of their frame outside The City of Brotherly Love, Anastasio walked out and lent some chords on “Rockdale” and “Elmeg The Wise.” Next, a high point of the night occurred as James Casey, Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman, along with their bandleader, Anastasio, assisted with the closing number of the night’s initial set, with “Hot Tea,” another number off Goose’s Dripfield collection.

After the night’s set break, Trey Anastasio Band took the stage for their highly anticipated frame of music, which kicked off with “Push On ‘Til the Day,” followed by “Love Is What We Are” and “Mozambique.” Next, “Cayman Review” arrived before “Camel Walk,” which flowed toward “Twist.” As the set continued, TAB landed on “No Men in No Man’s Land” and “A Life Beyond The Dream.” Next, Anastasio pulled out “…And Flew Away” from his 2020 solo release, Lonely Trip, prior to “Dark and Down.”

Next, members of Goose, including Rick Mitarotonda and Anspach, stepped out and assisted TAB on “Ghost,” followed by “Hey Stranger” and “Everything’s Right.” For the final tune of the night’s second set, the rest of Goose’s members joined Anastasio and his band for “First Tube.” A slowed-down, funk-laden “Llama” kicked off the evening’s encore. “Show of Life” arrived next and came before a fitting end, with “Party Time.” Finally, the night came to a close with the horns and everyone else on percussion playing as the remaining musicians walked off to conclude their joint tour.
