Pigeons Playing Ping Pong have announced they’ll return to Pittsburg, Pa., to celebrate New Year’s Eve with a two-night run on Dec. 30 and 31. at Stage AE with Magic Beans. The high-energy performance, sure to usher in 2023, marks the second time the jam funk quartet celebrated the New Year with Magic Beans at Stage AE following their 2018 headlining debut.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong–comprised of Scrambled” Greg Ormont (vocals, guitar), Jeremy Schon (guitar), Ben Carrey (bass), and Alex “Gator” Petropulos (drums)–have long relished the privilege of shepherding the New Year, in 2019 they performed at Ashville, N.C.’s  ExploreAsheville.com Arena and following COVID-19 forced break in 2020 they performed at the Ashville arena again with Keller Williams, Funk You and Here Come The Mummies.

The reunion with Magic Beans at Stage AE could be seen as a return to form or perhaps a rare and fresh opportunity for fans who experienced 2018’s show to see how both groups have grown and evolved during the past few tremulous years.

Artist presale for tickets to Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Magic Beans’ New Year’s Eve shows in Pittsburgh begins on Wednesday, Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. ET. General onsale will go on sale on Friday, Aug. 26 at 10 a.m. ET. Find tickets here.
