John Mayer has announced a forthcoming benefit concert dubbed Rise For The River – A Benefit For The Beautiful Park Country, scheduled to take place over three weeks next month, with the first live event slated for Aug. 8 at Pine Creek Lodge in Livingston, Mont.

In a press release shared by the Dead & Company guitarist, Mayer unveiled that the first event will happen on Monday, Aug. 8, when Bobby Weir joins the benefit concert’s host on stage for a set of music that will also include support from Montana natives, the Kitchen Dwellers.

The next event is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 14, and will feature comedian Dave Chappelle performing standup alongside Mayer, who shares the bill with the entertainment icon. Finally, the Rise For The River’s final event will commence on Aug. 21, when Mayer performs a solo concert with support from The Last Revel.

Rise For The River – A Benefit For The Beautiful Park Country comes after the historic June 13 floods damaged homes and closed parts of Yellowstone National Park. Proceeds raised from the benefit will go towards the SW MT Flood Relief Fund, a partnership between the Park Country Community Foundation and Greater Gallatin United Way

Additionally, funding will give instant support to those affected by the floods, with access to emergency shelters, clean water, food, clothing, and subsistence lost due to defective freezers and refrigerators.

Tickets are sold out. For additional information, visit johnmayer.com.
