On Saturday night, Japanese Breakfast acted as the musical guest for the Season 47 finale of Saturday Night Live. Frontwoman Michelle Zauner led the ensemble through two songs for the occasion, which included “Be Sweet” and “Paprika” off Jubilee. 

The first performance of the night saw Zauner groove on stage in a fuchsia sequined ensemble and over-the-knee black boots to deliver a high-energy take on the band’s first-ever single, 2021’s “Be Sweet.” 

Following Weekend Update and a single skit, Japanese Breakfast returned to the stage to deliver a powerful take on “Paprika.” This time, Zauner swapped her pink look for a white layered tulle style dress. On stage, a horns section joined the band for the number. Additionally, a large flower embellished gong was positioned next to Zauner, who struck it repeatedly during the latter part of the performance.
