Hot on the heels of the release of their sixth studio album Perspective–which dropped last Friday, April 8–Pigeons Playing Ping Pong have shared a new animated video for a song off the project titled “Sir Real.”

The video was created by Rob Fidel and DCP productions and recreates the vibrant feel of the song through kaleidoscopic imagery, color and a tale of interstellar migration, all through the eyes of a pigeon. “Sir Real” was the fourth single off of the project the band shared ahead of its official release and was composed live in the moment during a moment of improvisation.

“We improvise at every show, but it’s not often that a full song emerges, vocals and all,” said singer/guitarist “Scrambled Greg” Ormont in a press release. “Most of this song was written live on stage about ten years ago and has since morphed into the full and flowing track you hear today. Listening to the finished studio product takes me back to a decade of memories on the road, yet another reason ‘Perspective’ is the perfect name for this album.”

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will be touring this spring and summer in support of Perspective, and tickets are on sale now. Find tickets here.
