Last night, Brandi Carlile performed at the 64th annual Grammy Awards. The rocker played her song, “Right on Time” off her seventh studio album In These Silent Days, which was released in October 2021 via Low Country Sound/ Elektra Records.

Introduced by two of music’s greatest artists, Joni Mitchell and Bonnie Raitt; Carlile took the stage to deliver a high-energy performance of “Right on Time.” She was joined by her longtime bandmates, Phil and Tim Hanseroth to play the amped-up power ballad to the packed house, adorned by a spectacular rainbow light show.

Despite the reverence of the performance, Carlile did not win Song and Record of the Year for “Right on Time,” instead, the honors went to Silk Sonic, the pop-soul duo consisting of Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars.

Carlile received nominations for Album Of The Year and Best Record Of The Year for “Right On Time,” and Song Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for the title track. The songstress was also up for Best American Roots Performance for “Same Devil.”
