The Foo Fighters have canceled their upcoming tour following the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins, who was found dead in his hotel room in Bogota, Columbia, on Friday, March 25, just hours before the band was set to take the stage at Festival Estéreo.

In a statement released by the band, they shared “It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins. We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned. Instead, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together.”

Hawkins joined Foo Fighters in 1997, replacing the band’s first drummer, William Goldsmith. He appeared on all the band’s studio albums from 1999’s There Is Nothing Left to Lose to 2021’s Medicine at Midnight.
