Following the cancellation of Snoop Dogg’s performance, SweetWater 420 fest has announced Gary Clark Jr. will take his slot on their 2022 lineup. The festival will take place at Atlanta, Ga.’s Centennial Olympic Park from April 28 through May 1. The reason for Snoop Dogg’s cancelation was not disclosed.

Gary Clark Jr. will perform as a headliner in Snoop Dogg’s stead on Friday, April 29 – the first full day of the festival – along with Dirty Heads, Lotus, Karina Rykman, Badfish, Too Many Zooz, Little Stranger, two sets of The String Cheese Incident and more.

Other acts during the weekend’s festivities include Gov’t Mule and Oteil & Friends on Thursday, April 28, two sets of Trey Anastasio Band and two sets of Umphrey’s McGee, along with shows by Goose, Spafford and more on Saturday, April 30 and two sets of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, and performances by Oysterhead, Doom Flamingo, Snarky Puppy and more on Sunday, May 1.

Gary Clark Jr.’s set will mark the celebrated and award-winning musician’s first performance at SweetWater 420 Fest. His substitution marks the second for SweetWater 2022 after Gov’t Mule subbed in for moe. who opted to hang back while band co-founder and guitarist Chuck Garvey continues to recuperate from the stroke he suffered in November 2021.
