Ashville N.C. quintet Toubab Krewe are planning to bring their genre-defying sound to 18 cities across the United States this spring, and are expected to announce more.
To start, the band will bring their unique west-African, rock, jam and Appalachian fused sound to Colorado for three nights starting on March 4. Next, the Krewe will head to California for the first time since 2019. They’ll hit Mammoth Lakes, Sacramento, Santa Cruz, San Francisco and Nevada City before heading to the East Coast. They’ll enjoy two nights in New York and New Hampshire before heading south to Baltimore, Md., Roanoke Va. and Charlotte N.C. The tour will come to a close after shows in Charleston S.C., Asheville N.C., and Raleigh N.C. on April 13, 15 and 16 respectively.
Toubab Krewe spent much of the pandemic working on new music and recording in the studio. They also filmed a PBS special titled Echo Sessions in Asheville N.C which is expected to air in 2022.
